We all would rather be rich + not have to work than work our butts off to make a living. At least I know I would like to work less and make a ton of money. But is that really the point? Why do we work? Is it for money or is it just part of life and -most- people’s lifestyles.
When writing this post I got to thinking. Would I rather work for my money or just stay home + be rich. I believe staying home all the time and just having money is less of an accomplishment than working for what you have. Sure it’s tough but once you see that money rolling in and knowing YOU are making THAT happen is a pretty great accomplishment.
Now, sometimes I get sad. Like really sad. I often think – am I missing out on some of the greatest memories life has to offer while working 40 hours a week? Sure, it’s a sacrifice you have to make. But I believe you have to find that healthy balance. Most full time jobs you can accrue person time off. I mean that goes pretty fast, but that isn’t the point here. You can work your butt off but you also have to come to the realization that work isn’t everything – we also need a personal life. It’s okay to take time for yourself, mental health, and to create memories. It’s okay. We need that balance in our lives or else we will live a miserable life. I struggle with this, but each day gets better in trying to create that -healthy- balance.
